When I read the text and it said "At the center is Piltover" I genuinely knew everything I had to know about what happened in season 2.

And then he goes and talks about Zaun and the way it's portrayed? What.

"A society of thieves, smugglers and makeshift svengalis"?

The way this immediately tells us all we need to know about his views in this kind of social conflict. Who is the reason Zaun has no other choice, Linke? Why can't they do anything but steal? Why can't they live like the rich people in Piltover, Linke?

It's almost like the people who are rich and privileged, looking down on those who have no other choice, is EXACTLY the problem????

I thought they understood that rich people making themselves feel better, for example by calling (poor) people savages, is not actually the right thing.

In season 1, by the way, they showed the council doing crimes themselves and STILL making themselves feel better than those they deem less. If you remember it, they showed Jayce who was starting to get hated because he stopped the others from doing illegal shit. If you remember, they showed the council corrupting each others votes and fucking doing crimes.

I thought, and now this is totally on me, they fully understood that the privileged people had more than double the amount of blood money than those they deem "bad". I thought they also understood that the privileged people just have all the water in the world to wash the blood off and continue to act as if nothing ever happened.

So that's on me.

Thinking a lot about how Ignis is given a prophetic vision and then immediately after loses his eyesight.

He sees himself, ten years from now, scars down his face, vision clearly gone, and still, still he doesn't hesitate to put on the ring. He knows, without a shadow of a doubt, that his eyesight won't come back, because he's seen it, seen himself, but he still tries to play it off for a while, give the others hope that his disability isn't permanent. How this makes his comment near the end of the game that he can sense light suspect, because we the player know he is 100% willing to lie about these things to make the people around him feel better.

And just. The fact that he also knows without question that their king will return. He has Seen it. The idea of him reassuring the others, burdened as he is with the knowledge of what will come after, that Noctis is coming back, he just Knows it. And he knows it's going to take a long time. Of course, he could use his vision to guess when it starts getting close, could know it by the length of Gladio's hair or Prompto adopting a goatee. But those details are a lot harder to keep track of when one's blind.

And of course, the fact that he doesn't need to see when they open up the door to the throne room, because he already knows what's going to be in there.

My mum dropped new family lore today when she off-handedly mentioned being diagnosed with "fibrositis" in her early 30s.

I'd never heard of it before, so I Googled it and what's it called these days? Fibromyalgia. I said, Mum, do you mean to tell me you've lived 40+ years with fibro pain, and no one's done anything about it?

She said, "You can do something about it? The doctor back then just said I needed to have a baby."
